INTELLIGENT PARKING GUIDANCE SYSTEM

Nortech International has recently lunched its IdentiPark intelligent parking guidance system which is designed to streamline parking control systems.

All the parking spaces within a car park facility are monitored by individual IdentiPark Sensors to establish if the space is occupied or vacant. The data is relayed to a computer where it is processed and the location of the vacant parking spaces identified. This information is then relayed to motorists via guidance displays, which direct them to these available spaces.

IDR100 SOFTWARE IS TARGETED AT ADVANCED ITS APPLICATIONS

For IDRIS applications the IR100 Incident Rack is equipped with highly accurate 4 channel vehicle detectors and a powerful ARM-9 Processor. This processor is capable of running Linux based applications for advanced traffic data collection.

IDR100 applications include :

• Tolling
  Accurately Counts and classifies vehicles to verify toll categories. Optionally the equipment can provide video triggers for enforcement.
  In Express lanes can provide AVI toll tag correlation capability.
  
• Vehicle Profile recognition
  Loop based Bus Priority is achieved without a need for “in-vehicle” technology such as transponders. Camera triggers are provided for bus lane violations.
  
• Traffic Data Collection
  Highly accurate Volume / Speed and Occupancy data with vehicle classification using “loop only” axle detection for AUSTROADS vehicle classification.
  
• Incident Detection systems
  Accurate vehicle recognition using vehicle profile classification techniques allows detection of single stopped vehicles in low traffic volumes.
  
• Loop based speed enforcement systems
  Speed accuracy to law enforcement standards. Outputs accurate triggers for enforcement cameras

LATEST IR100 SOFTWARE INCLUDES THE INCIDENT DETECTION ALGORITHMS

The host computer (and traffic manager) maintains control over the incident response with the ability to download the variables associated with the incident algorithm on a lane-per-lane basis on initialisation of the equipment. Full control over the incident detection process is maintained in this way without all the other difficulties associated with remote data processing.

When the incident occurs, alarms are transmitted to the host as immediate unsolicited messages or in response to routine polls of the outstation.
